      Max ADSL same speed?

      Hi Guys
I'm thinking about moving from Nildram Max ADSL to Sky Broadband(it is cheaper). Will I get the same speed from Sky as I did from Nildram seeing as it is the same BT line and distance from the exchange or is there some improvements over the Max ADSL product?

I get download speeds in the regeon of 5mbs just now will this change?

      Thanks
      GiZZeRR

      Welcome to the site GiZZeRR

Depending on the package you go for will dictated the speed if you are able to get LLU then in theory you should get a lot more speed with the Max package if not then you will on the Connect package (capped 40 gig) which is the same as you are on now MAX Adsl just cheaper.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      Hi Wheelie
Thanks for the fast reply I think I can assume I can't get LLU just yet as when I registered for Sky broadband it said not available yet but they would be in touch in a few weeks. So the good news is I will pay less for at least the same speed I have now or get a speed increase. I will sign up to the Max product (upto 16mb) when it is activated on the exchange.

      Cheers

You can go to http://www.samknows.com and check your exchange status and yep if you take the Connect package for now it will save you money as long as the 40gig cap isn't a problem go for it

Good luck with what ever you decide to do.
