      Hi Steve

Much appreciated... Great stuff! 16mbs is not bad at all. Was expecting worse...

Thanks very much Steve. Really appreciate the warm welcome.

So DLM should kick in by tomorrow or so. Will see how it goes and if any issue arises I'll certainly post and ask for help or clarification.

So far I am impressed with the whole process of switching considering I was on cable before. Thought it would be more complex and filled with stumble blocks. They even managed to port my number which apparently sometimes is a problem.

DLM can take 3 days to start, but I think yours may have already started. Your router will resync in the early hours of the morning and you will see an immediate improvement.

If you have more than one telephone socket, check if you have an NTE master Test socket. If you have, plug the router into the Test socket usingonly the cable supplied by Sky and post your stats.
How to test your ADSL in the Master Test Socket

I would think you will get around 18Mb, when training completes.

      Do'h, missed the next page.

You are right. The router did re-sync in the morning and I'm now up to 13mbps

Re: Activated now then please post info here

      Hello All.

      Order Date - 12 Jan 2011
      Migration - ADSL24
      Router Arrived - 20 Jan 2011
      Connection Due - 25 Jan 2011
      Actually Connected - 25 Jan 2011
      Up sync speed - 1st Day: 605 kbps /2nd Day: 945 kbps
      Down sync speed - 1st Day: 4095 kbps /2nd Day: 16382 kbps
Distance from the exchange - 0.6 miles. 0.8 miles by road

Very Pleased with speeds so far, hope they hold up - More than estimated maximum download speed by Sky when I ordered (9.5Mb). I am curious about the initial 605 kbps Up sync speed. I've read on these forums that this indicates that a user is on Sky's SVBN service. I thought that only occured if you rented your phone line from Sky. I ordered Sky Talk with the broadband, but have kept my line rental with BT.
