    how to confirm I'm not on connect?

      how to confirm I'm not on connect?

      according to bt landline tracker I have had a cease for IPstream and LLU enabled on my phone as of yesterday. Problem is my download speed still seems to be capped to 10kbs in the evening. this suggests that I am not yet on the max package. anyone know of a sure way to find out? I thought maybe connect users would have a different IP range. oh and by the way, sky aren't sure! as usual... cheers

      try testing your speed on a speed tester and post your results

      tomd84: my speed is fine on http downloads, its just p2p in the evening I struggle with. in the morning and most weekends its fine.

      The fact it was started and completed same day tells me you are still on Connect. (ie a failed order)

      It physically takes approx 3 working days minimum for BT to do the job.

      cheers newsreader. I thought it was too good to be true. any idea if sky will resolve this without my intervention? 6 weeks now of trying to get on max.

      Well Sky are initiatiating the work - its been knocked back by BT or Sky's internal ordering. I know for a fact the process is happening as it has been confirmed unofficially.

      Ring them up and ask them - see what reason they give, they should have access to the failure code etc

      sky have just confirmed the order has failed. tried to put me through to cs but they have a 20 minute wait. will email my contact in customer relations tomorrow.

      what do you know of they problems they are having newsreader? I get the impression they are in dispute with BT and BT are therefore dragging their feet.
      not good for us customers if so.

      I know of no problems, if I were BT i would be aggrieved with Sky as they are nicking all my customers

      There could be another reason, the only way to find out is for Sky to tell you.
