Start date should be something like 13th and completed on 17th to show a time period etc.

No documented case on this forum of it happening yet though.

not even by cancelling connect and then ordering max? that is what I'm trying to do. I thought at least a few people here had been regraded?

edit: someone had better break the news to stecole. he had the same tracker order info as me

Thats the problem people have tried and it aint happening, thinking about it, it could be failing as there are no ports available on LLU

Re: how to confirm I'm not on connect?

bloody hell. I'm wasting my time aren't I. I think the time has come to contact trading standards. after all, the sky website tells me I can choose between base, mid or max. problem is that because I went with connect, I'm stuck on it. I'll email guy from customer relations tomorrow and trading standards too. It can't be right can it. surely when doing a 'check availability' the sky site should say:

"you are currently on our connect package. unfortunately you are going to have to stay on this package indefinitely. Should you have any questions, please phone us and one of our representatives will be delighted to lie to you by claiming you will be regraded shortly. Until we know what we are doing, we advise you to swallow our lies and believe that you do in fact have child locks on your line."

sounds ridiculous but at least we would know where we stand.

Simon - understandably you are frustrated, I am sure Sky can and will sort try the service recovery team if you look for LNB's profile, the number is in the siganture of his.

As for why this is happening we really do not know and tbh Sky are losing money by not putting you on their own network.

Re: how to confirm I'm not on connect?

too right I'm frustrated Newsreader. I have spoken to the service recovery team. russell had gone home but the guy I spoke to is apparently going to do what the guy from customer relations was supposed to be doing. cancel connect and then place a new order for max. even that seems not to work though. this would mean about 10 days with no internet. a small price to pay from my point of view (if max has no bandwith shaping). the fact is that we on connect are not getting transfered as promised. my understanding was that once sky were able to regrade, they would. but they aren't. I have no sympathy as they are worth billions of pounds. all I want is a straight answer from them rather than the lies I keep hearing. I think sky should have started upgrading existing customers ahead of new ones. my two cents as they say

Re: how to confirm I'm not on connect?

What I cannot understand is why they have to cancel it - it should be a simple migration from one to the other, with the exception that BT have to do the job in the exchange.

Re: how to confirm I'm not on connect?

the guy from service recovery said he was told that they are NOT doing any regrades. he then suggested the cancellation of connect which I said I had already asked for. so, even cancellation seems impossible. this reminds me of the chaos I experienced with those mangy dogs at bulldog. this country is a disgrace. why can broadband not be simple by now???

Re: how to confirm I'm not on connect?

Well I have been told that they are doing the changes from Connect to Base / Mid / Max and my source is usually pretty reliable.

Speak to Russell tomorrow if you get a chance and let us know the outcome.
