      Wireless Router light goes off?

      Hi,

      Got sky all set up on Friday night, and know when I turn on the wireless box sometimes the wireless light doesn't light up?, so I have to reset it and then sometimes the number 4 goes orange.

      So I then have to do completley turn the power off and pull the plug for a one minute and then it seems to be ok.

      Anybody got any advice to why it does it?

      Thanks,

      Richard

      The router is really meant to be left on all the time.

      If the number 4 goes orange that is not so good as that will be your wired connection, try a new ethernet cable. Is the router on the stand and upright and in a high position and the aerial screwed on tightly, and see what stats are reported on the router page;

      192.168.0.1 user name:admin password :sky this may give you more information about what is happening. Also if you are not at the master phone socket try the test socket under the bottom removable plate and see what happens.

      The router is supposed to run 24/7 but ours is turned off overnight sometimes as it still gets quite hot.
