      Router Statistics

I have a thread already going about problems I am encountering. I wanted to ask a another question as I have tried using test socket and compared stats against pluggibg into master socket and test scket is much better.

      Test socket
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 15323 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 28.5 db 17.4 db
Noise Margin 9.1 db 13.0 db

      Master socket

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 12333 kbps 760 kbps
Line Attenuation 29.0 db 17.4 db
Noise Margin 7.1 db 13.0 db

How can I get matser socket to perform to same standard as test?

Fit a replacement filtered faceplate to your master socket.

Have you actually read any other threads on this forum?

      Re: Router Statistics

I have read them and keep trying different thinsg with out much success. I have run the TCPOptimizer and MTu was down to 150. Is this ok or should it be higher. Seemes 1500 to 150 is a big jump and on other sites it appears this should rarley be changed.

Where can i get a filtered faceplace from?

Are you able to help with my other thread I have posted on today?

i wish I could sort this out but I get slow speeds, brilliant speeds followed by slow speeds and more often than not I have to trn route on and off to get interent to work.

      Re: Router Statistics

Mine was ok once I cured the UPnP bug (search the forum) on the router.
