      Can any Connect users help me test this...

      I posted this on DigitalSpy but then thought here might be a better place so apologies if you are reading this a second time....

      I have been trying to get flash player installed for the past week and cannot get a decent download speed. Last time it said it would be 20 hours to get the 1.4meg file. It's the version for firefox/opera.

      Sky are telling me no network issues and mate on cable is getting it in seconds so the site itself is fine. I'm tearing my hair out. So I am trying to find out if it's Sky or me!

      Hmmm, same with me now. Curious. If you are willing, could you try it by going to Adobe and clicking on button to get adobe flash player on the left hand side. Very grateful for any help.

      hmmm, so not the 20 hours it's estimating for me then. Argh, I don't understand! lol. Thanks for help, hopefully some bizarre glitch.

      Hi again it says this when you go to download flash.

      Download size: 1,967 K Download Time Estimate: 2 minutes @ 56K modem

      Possibly it's congestion at the Exchange as your on Sky Connect.

      you aren't reading that line as an estimate of how long it will take are you ? This is for a 56K modem not a broadband connection.

      Anyhow 20 hours certainly isn't two minutes !

      Lol, no. I'm not. My 20 hours was the estimated time left showing up in my browser once I was downloading the file. This has been about a week now but finally managed to located the file on an obscure mirror elsewhere (where it took less than a second).

      To "Helpmeplease", would congestion at the exchange not affect ALL my internet traffic? I can still d'load at a not unshabby 790-800KB/s on newsgroups when I use them! That's why I was assuming there was a network problem with Sky somewhere.
