New line, less speed, what gives.

When I joined Sky Max broadband I was getting a max download speed of 8mb but my connection was always dropping. They capped my line to 6mb and it still drops. I was told that having BT replaced my line would help solve the problem, so after trying to get BT to do it for free and BT telling me to get sky to report the problem to openreach in which sky is having none of it I decided I would pay BT 99+ vat to replace my line. I noticed a very slight improvement using the new line but was still only getting 6mb and have sent sky broadband lots of emails to try and get my line uncapped. However after one week my connection speed using my new line dropped to 1.765kb and it still drops out. I'm waiting for a call back from tier 3, I think this one's get them stumped. Thanks.

What is your DOWNSTREAM noise margin?
Is it noise from any of your extensions?

No extensions, bbmax test gives 1748 - 218kb.

      Connection Speed 2048 kbps - 256 kbps
      Line Attenuation 43.0 db - 28.0 db
      Noise Margin 29.6 db - 14.0 db

      Thanks.
