Question Will I Get Max Soon?

      Hi All,

found this on the BT order tracking site that Wheelie kindly posted for us...

      From Wheelie:
      https://www2.bt.com/btPortal/applica....ordertracking
Order tracking: Landline orders You will need to register if you don't already have an account, and see if the order has been submitted.
      Placed..............07 Feb 2007
      Description........CHANGE
      Appointment......No date yet
      Date due...........07 Feb 2007
      Status..............Order completed
      Last update.......07 Feb 2007
      Notes...............Your order has been completed.

      Items in this order
      Description...Product name
      PROVIDE......LLU LINE SHARE PSTN
      CEASE.........BT IPSTREAM MAX

I still get the same old 8128 down and 448 up... Does their order complete mean something different to mine?.... 'The Ordering Is Completely Done'.. 'No idea of when you'll get it but its fully ordered for you??!!!

Or have Sky put a sneaky cap on my line.. just to wind me up some more? I live less than 1k from the exchange... 850m to be more accurate.... i want to see lightning and feel the ground shake as my high speed data comes through!!!

Re: Will I Get Max Soon?

the email I got from customer relations states 'upto 10 days' to have cease on line take effect, another 10 days to go onto max package. I was told that my line would be without broadband between these two events, so I'd imagine that the cease has not yet happened.

edit: possibly it will be upto 10 days from order completed to when your line either goes dead or you get on skys gear. why the engineer doesn't do the two things while he/she is in the building is a mystery to me

That is just incredible... like you said, why can't they do it at the same time?

Oh well at least Sky Broadband is eventfull... who'd want a boring ISP, that works most of the time with no issues etc... No fun at all i say!!
