I just called the one in the email and I only ever used it twice the first time on the 18th Aug to ask a question as I had a similar email to you and the second was the 21st Aug to place my order for the Max option.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      Thanks for the number brucemac.
Called them and was told they've had lots of registrations and that further emails are being sent out on the 6th Sept. CS rep couldn't give me any timescale for signup.

      So you are LLU enabled?

Have you received an email from sky to say you can be activated?

I have heard that some people have called up and got registered without having a BAND code

I've rgistered online twice, my exchange is LLU enabled, I've had an email to say I can be activated, I've emailed Sky and now called them today but no go. I asked the CS rep today if there was any way to speed things up and he said 'no'

      Finally Gone Live

Just an update on progress for those in a similar situaton

Jul 26 Registered interest with Sky.
Aug 8 Got email saying I would receive more info in 2 weeks.
Aug 24 Got email saying I could sign up with my BAND code.
Aug 29 Asked for MAC code from Pipex amazingly received it same day!!!!
Aug 29 Phoned up sky, gave them my BAND code and also my MAC
code they said 5 days for router and up to 12 days for activation.
Aug 29 Ordered Ethernet card for my PC
      Sept 1 Router arrived.
Sept 2 Letter with activation date going to be on Sept 8 arrived.
Sept 2 Letter with username arrived.
Sep 8 Line should be activated. It wasn't
Sep 8 Rang Sky for update - wait till midnight blaa blaa blaa
Sep 9 RAng Sky for update - didn't have a clue - told to ring back
Sep 9 Rang Sky for update - put through to provisisioning - didn't have a clue - told me to ring BT?!?!? - told them that was their job and to ring me back with an answer or I would cancel!!! Promised to call within 48 hours - they didn't
Sep 9 Checked BT Tracker revised date for 15 Sep now showing
Sep 10 - Sep 14 Decided it was a waste of time and money talking to Sky anymore - still no return call from Provisioning as promised.
Sep 15 As if by magic finally connected as per BT Tracker - all working OK but I have a low SNR problem to sort - probably internal wiring.

If only Sky would remember we are "customers" and update us (a phone call or even an email would do when things go wrong) it would alleviate all the ill feeling which you sometimes see on this and other sites!! Unfortunately at the moment it does appear that I have swapped one set of monkeys at Pipex for another set at Sky but it can only improve given time and proper training.

I might even think about changing my signature now.........lol

will be transferring from pipex to sky - have been with pipex since 2002 i can not fault their connection, i cant remember the last time it fell over....but im paying about 23 p/m for 1meg upcapped, which was increasd to 2mb.. but its too expensive compared to wots on offer nowadays. Did phone them up to ask about 8meg but they said my monthly subscription will go up....oh well their loss
...requested mac code then had to cancel this as sky wont be available in my area probably for a few months yet!!
