    big problems

    This is a discussion on big problems within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; i plug my router via a filter into my master socket but for some reason my router will not connect ...

      big problems

      i plug my router via a filter into my master socket but for some reason my router will not connect but if i plug my router via filter into the test socket i can connect not only that but much faster.im guessing its my internal wirring. bt will not take responceablity for the problem as it works fine comming in from the master socket. what will i do ????? also this might be of use i have 2 exestion sockets wired up

      Try unfiltered if you do not have a phone on the line?

      Sorry I meant with a filtered faceplace lol not with it today. Actually our router was the same until we checked the connections to the master socket, it now seems to all work out of master socket or extension, it was just a case of a dodgy filters (we tried 2 before we got the third filter working). We also rewired an extionsion and changed all the cables the RSJ11 was duff(modem cable) and patch cable (ethernet) was slightly damaged and twisted.
