Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

Ill post mine up tonight, although they have capped me at 12MB to get a good speed, i know my line has errors which need to be cleared so i am going to update my AV software tonight and reset my router then check out my wiring as i am not getting anywhere near the 12MB or evern 16MB,

Speed tests come back around 7-10MB, just need to figure out why it is so low, will get the figures posted up asap.

they seem to be capping quite a few people at lower speeds due to instability/line errors...hope this isn't going to be widespread

Hopefully i will be able to get back to a bit higher with my location to the exchange, just need to figure out a way, hopefully sorting the A Virus and also rebooting my pc, and checking my internal wiring even using a new cable if needs be, as i am only 920m from the exchange and from all reports i should be getting a lot better.

I'm getting around 7-8 Megs (WTF!!)
My sync was 8128bps when I was with Zen 8000 Pro!

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7645 kbps 766 kbps
Line Attenuation 27.5 db 15.2 db
Noise Margin 15.8 db 11.2 db

      -----------------------------------------------------
      BT ADSL broadband availability
You are connected to the Battersea telephone exchange.

ADSL is available in your area
Your exchange is also enabled for ADSL Max services

According to BT Wholesale, your line should be able to support a 6.5Mbps or greater ADSL connection via ADSL Max.

You are approximately 901 metres from the exchange (straight line distance).

I'll try using test test socket later!! [crosses fingers]

      Line Stats are as follows:

      DL/UL

Connection Speed 2784 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 63.5 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 6.8 db 6.0 db

ADSL Nation face plates all round (made the noise margin no longer drop when someone picked up the phone)

      Super speedy

      Connected yesterday (7th)....router says:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 15323 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 30.0 db 18.3 db
Noise Margin 9.8 db 12.5 db

Nice! No idea what the attenuation and noise margin figures mean, but the first line looks good to me.

Oh, I am 783m from the exchange, allegedly.
