      Ah Ok, just reading that, I'll get my XTE2005 fitted then, so that'll help huh?

      (I'm not expecting high sync speed obviously, just higher Noise Margin)

      A quality filtered faceplate is always a good thing.

      However, as I pointed out above, with regard to noise margin, it can only reduce the variation not remove it.

      If you've read the sticky you'll realise that if you boot your router at the time of lowest noise then come a high noise time of day, your margin will probably drop below the figure needed for a stable connection - filtered faceplate or not.

      The "easily fixed" comment refers to the use of one of the two methods described to "lock" your noise margin at a sufficiently high figure.

      You have a pretty good clean line via the test socket and hopefully you should see the same with the replacement faceplate fitted.
