It just works the same way as wired, except a lot slower.

The method for getting a file from another computer on your network is as follows:

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer

Then click on My Network Places > Entire Network > Microsoft Windows Network

It will come up with a list of workgroups, click the workgroup the computer is located on, and then select the computer.

The best way to do this is have all computers on the network on the same workgroup. You need to make sure you have shared the folder on the computer you want to get the file from.

If you want to transfer files frequently I would map the other computer as a network drive. This can be done by right clicking on My Computer and selecting Map Network Drive (make sure reconnect at logon is selected). Then simply select a drive letter and the location you want to access.

Without the drive being mapped in the way that I stated above, accessing other computers can sometimes be difficult.

With games it depends on the game you are playing, all network games have options inside them to search by IP or computer name

Alternatively use the Home Network Set Up wizard in the XP Control Panel and that will do it all for you.
