      Delivery of Router

      Hi
      This is my first post!

I ordered my broadband yesterday - asked for max but exchange was full so had to opt for connect until early summer (so im told) when max will be available again on exchange!

Anyway they are sending me the router & wireless adapter.
I asked if they could send me it to my work address as no one is in during the day and they said no.

Just wondered what the options are and if anyone had this?
Can you just ask the parcel compnay to redirect it after initial failed delivey?

i know this is prob a stupid question but jsut want it all sorted and seemed the like the best place to ask!!

      Thank

      Hi

You used to be able to pay 11.75 to the courier and get it delivered on a saturday. But afaik you can only do this once you have the consignment number after a failed delivery.

It is also rumoured if on Connect they would not despatch it until the line has gone active.

my router was delivered by city link, I think, they will leave a card and you can collect the parcel from the depot in the evening. Just ring the number and confirm, or they maybe able to redirect to another address.

If they've put you on Connect, did you get the activation for 20 and the 5pm deal? I ordered Connect end of Dec and I believe my router came some time before I was activated btw.

      Re: Delivery of Router

I found that thread ^ and called up their freephone number 0800 0512 595 as I had paid 40 and 17 at the end of Dec.

You just have to say you know that other customers are paying 20 activation and 5 per month for Connect, and ask to be refunded 20 for activation and have the monthly fee reduced accordingly until you are able to move packages to the one you want.

If they don't seem able or willing to help, just end the call politely and call back - one of the people you'll get will do it.

      Re: Delivery of Router

When I signed up for Sky BB (mid package) I asked for the router to be delivered to my work address
and they did without any hassle. I guess they wanted to save themselves some work and told you they
could not send it to another address.

      Regards John
