Question how long for orange mac code

Is requested a mac code from orange, it is now 5 working days. What do I do if it doesn't arrive soon, I object to keep calling on 0870 number.
Is anyone on the Rownhams exchange?

Orange now have a habit of placing a "cease on the line" and basically what that means is that you have to wait until the line fully clears down then another 5 days for them to clear it [which they rarely do] before you can then move elsewhere.

I think i`d be quoting the "code of practice" they signed up for ( albeit a voluntary one )* see previous post and list of ISP's*

cheers Russ I registered a complaint with the ISPA site yesterday as Hullcity suggested
      I got the following reply

      Thank you for contacting ISPA.

As you have made a complaint about a member of ISPA, I have forwarded your complaint to our contact at the company as set out in the ISPA Code of Practice.

Someone from the company will contact you within five working days in response to your complaint.

Most of the complaints we receive are resolved satisfactorily in this manner. If however you remain unsatisfied, please contact ISPA again by visiting our website ISPA - Home to fill out the second online complaints form, which will begin the process of escalation to an external adjudicator.

      Kind regards

Re: how long for orange mac code

Hi. according to BT tracker my line was switched to sky on the 31/01/07 and i've had a sms welcoming me to sky. Not received my router yet and my orange line is still working. Any idea when this will clear or will sky just work when the router arrives.

Yep, that is a standard response - I got my mac 2 days after complaining and got a letter from Orange after about 4 saying they were sorry for the delay! -it seems to give them a kick!

Re: how long for orange mac code

email from orange arrived last night 4th Feb looks as though it expires in 24 days!
so hope sky get their act together. I signed up this morning for MID , did it all
online, copy and paste mac code etc, so hopefully less margin for error

Thanks for all your suggestions , I don't know if it was the email to ISPA that helped, but anyway answer is 10 days .

now how long to transfer to sky?

      Your MAC code is BBIP********/F****.

      Tjis will expire on 28/02/2007.

If you have any further queries then please do not hesitate to get in contact with us again.

      Kind Regards
