12 Days and waiting
Took the plunge today and ordered. Someones installing on 13 Sept, so got great joy extracting my MAC key from BT Yahoo. Told the 7oaks exchange may only support 5.1 though ; not sure why..hmmm have I made the right decision? Suspect time will tell, so I'll keep a blog running here as the countdown continues. Meanwhile what can anybody tell me about E-Mail options.....are many user names still widely available or do you have to think of cryptic pseudonyms for a handle?

What do you mean by 5.1? 5.1MBit? Their estimates are generally very conservative.

Yes 5.1mb. This is what somebody quoted me along the way. This is still 1mb more than BT reckon the line is capable of and more than double my current BT broadband speed. I'm not sure exactly where the 7oaks exchange is but we're not exactly a big town either. Very odd that so many different speed capabilities seem to be claimed for the same line by different providers/experts(sic).
Anyway if its faster than a Russel Hobbs kettle it'll be fine by me!

Welcome to the site Sennockian
Good luck with your orderRay
Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
If you would like to know the straight line distance to your exchange then
Would you like an idea of the possible speeds you will get with the Max Package then click here or for the Connect Package then click here
