      confused a bit!

Oki to cut the story short my internet frooze lost rang sky up said they would do some test. After the tests they said they couldnt see a prob and that it would have to be passed on to tier 3.

Waited for tier 3 to ring bak but never heard anything from them.
Rang them this morning and they transfered me through the tier 3 person capped my line to 5mb and said that my line was already capped to 8mb anyway even though i was on max package!
Also he said that a regrade is due on the line, I wasnt sure what it was so i asked. He didnt know either said it wasnt anything to do with hime.

so i just wanted to know what the regrade process is and why my line was capped to 8mb instead of 16mb? thanks

      Re: confused a bit!

No offence intended but your post is very hard to follow with its limited punctuation and layout - to be honest I couldn't bother sticking with it after about the 7th or 8th line.

A tip: if you make your posts easy to read and understand you're more likely to get a reply.

The forum is full of useful posts (especially the stickies) which will bring you up to speed with the problem I think you are facing. A good starting point would be the first sticky linked at the bottom of this post.

      Re: confused a bit!

Sky normally cap the line if there is a line noise problem which will prevent a stable connection at a higher speed.

A regrade normally refers to a change of product e.g. Connect to LLU or Mid to Max.

Please read the stickies as suggested. Please also post your router stats so we can try and see what is happening - or are you saying you have no connection now - it's still not clear?
