TCPOptimizer will not affect/improve disconnections. You will however find advice in the first sticky which will help you understand your router stats which was the question I answered.

BTW your disconnection problem sounds wireless related to me. Go to the wireless forum for help and advice. First thing I'd try is wired to confirm its a wireless problem then experiment with channel changes and router positions.

      Hi,

      Thanks for reply,

Yeah i came to the same conclusion, must be the wireless. after typing my last message, connection went again so i Karted the pc dowm stairs and connected via the yellow cable. Straight in at 15.3mbps connection. decided to change channels from 6 to 11 and give it a go with wireless again. i'm wireless at the moment (loads of websites open, downloading files, etc etc to try and test the connection, no probs so far but i am right next to the router. gonna leave it for a while and see how it goes.........(got to the word 'goes' and it went again....back on after 10 seconds).....this is strange.
still must be the wireless but not sure what to do now.

      Don
