      Can i use my own wireless modem?

      Hey

      im not on skybb as yet but thinking about getting connect (as thats all i have in my area) from AOL. I already have my own modem, would i be able to use on skybb or do i have to use the one they provide? Also on sky bb can p2p be used like azureus and limewire if so is it restricted?

      Many thanks

      Simple answer is yes you can use your exsiting wireless modem. You will need to get your details (username and password) off your Sky router so you know what details to enter in your own modem. How to do this is covered elsewhere on these forums.

      Hi yes,

      I have had a few problems today. The router does not stay connected and there is no green ADSL light even when the internet is connected.

      The people at Sky said they thought the Sky router was broke so they have ordered me a new one which should be with me within 5 days.

      @kbv1

      I moved the post regarding p2p to a more appropriate forum for better answers.
