Re: Question about being moved from Connect to Max

I too have been trying since early january to get onto max package. to cut a long story short I was told by a guy in customer relations (not customer service, after a stongly worded email) that they plan to have everyone on their network by the summer. I was offered connect at 5 a month but told him it wasn't about money. The bottom line is I've cancelled the connect package and will be signed up for max when the cease on my line happens, hopefully 10 days, then another 10 days to get switched on skys network. I will wait to see if this goes smoothly...

edit: anyone know how long this should take to appear on bt's landline tracking?

Re: Question about being moved from Connect to Max

So, the number they provided me in the letter for Provisions isn't even a working number. Called the freephone instead, got in a 15 minute queue and gave up.

Last four times I've tried to get to Provisions via the freephone I've been told:
      1) There's no-one in Provisions
      2) Provisions is having works done in the office so it's not open
      3) No-one in Provisions is willing to take the call
      4) And best of all (after they had me waiting 45 minutes), sorry but Provisions has now closed!

So I've written an e-mail instead. I've never encountered such a poor system in my life.

I tried that very number (it's the one on the letter) but it keeps saying that the number is no longer in existence.

If you have the time you will have to wait. I have found the times they give out are pretty accurate.

Yup, it is quite accurate but I can never get to Provisions when I get through you see because of various excuses (see above) and the call ends up taking forever to get nothing sorted.

Re: Question about being moved from Connect to Max

I'm in the same boat, exchange was done early December and i'm still waiting to be moved over!!

Every time i ring or email, they can't say when it will happen but will let me know when it does.......

As for a discount the last i heard was that i can't get a discount on my Sky Viewing Package..??!!! I don't want a discount on my tv!! Never asked for one!

Seems like i'll have to dig out my 'peed-off-but-polite' phone voice to get some results..

      .....................
      Edit..

      Just found this:

      Placed..........07 Feb 2007
      Description....CHANGE
      Appointment..No date yet
      Date due.......07 Feb 2007
      Status..........Order completed
      Last update...07 Feb 2007
      Notes...........Your order has been completed.

      Items in this order
      Description Product name
      PROVIDE LLU LINE SHARE PSTN
      CEASE BT IPSTREAM MAX

But... but.. but.. no change on my conection stats.. At least there is signs of a change!

stecole77: that looks like good news. how long did it take to appear on the bt tracker?

I spoke to a guy last friday (4 working days ago), and nothing is showing up on my line yet. the guy from sky said it takes upto 10 days so maybe the next day or two?

Re: Question about being moved from Connect to Max

I'm not sure to be honest... I've been emailing them for a while now, it takes a while for them to answer so its a slow process but as the 0800 number 'is not available in my area' it's a lot cheaper.

Just wondering what it means now though.. As it says order complete but my connection has not improved.
