      Angry Not received welcome letter

      Hi,

I've ordered Sky BB on the 12th of December '06, finally got connected on the 9th of January this year.

I am still waiting to receive my welcome letter and user name and password.

I've emailed someone called "Malcolm Dingwall" at malcolm.Dingwall@BSkyB.com who helped sort out getting my modem, but no response from him as yet. Anyone know who he is? (I got his email address from a post on here).

      Anyone else had this problem?

      Thanks in advance.

      Re: Not recived welcome letter

My second letter (I guess this is what you mean unless they have changed it since I signed up last year) turned up two days after I was activated along with the Sky router.

      Re: Not received welcome letter

If you were registered with Sky Customer Zone for your telly then the username and password are the same.

You only need them for setting up email addresses and accessing the webmail portal and you should have internet access without them.

      Re: Not received welcome letter

Sorry, but mine was the same. Try :- Sky.com - My Sky
      using your Customer Zone Username/password

And use the guide by Ratti:- Sky Portal - Adding Additional Emails

It was a few days after connection before I could log into the webmail portal directly.

      Re: Not received welcome letter

eMail addresses are alocated to each additional user with the user name followed by @sky.com. You can then set them up in outlook/express.

I did that, jsut comes up with this when I sent the address a email..

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

      Re: Not received welcome letter

If your Sky is active, then your btinternet email addresses will receive but not send. BT should let you receive for 3 months.

If you set up the new user/s in outlook/express then you should receive a Welcome email for each address from Sky - usually within the hour.
