      I've sent emails from my BT account with no problems at all...

      I've tried to email my self from my gmail account, still get "Technical details of permanent failure: PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 9): 550 Unknown user"

      Perhaps you will have more help from a real expert this evening?

      The username I refer to for your Sky email addresses is the one you filled in on page 2 - NOT the persons name on page 1.

      Go back to your user setup in My Sky>My Profile to see the users' email adresses.

      Mabe this has something to do with my email problem;

      That link is to the Webmail and other "services", but does not set up your eMail. It's the portal that many users are not able to access, but after you've seen it, once is enough - unless you intend to use Sky's Webmail.
