      Re: Tech help please

Hey there. Im getting a similar error though i have no other broadband connection on this line.

The router doesn't recieve an IP address and when testing the connection i get an LCP failed and CHAP authentication error.

Everything else seems to be working - i am currently waiting for tier 3 to get back to me! yippee!

Has this something to do with the firmware on the router?

I would say that you havent been changed other. Or like i had you have been changed over but pipex havent relinquished service. I was with bt i rang and cancelled when sky said i was connected. and boosh soon as bt cleared i was straight on.

I am the same, was mean't to be migrated 29/11/06, but still recieving BT Broadband, although both Sky and BT say I'm now with Sky. Onto the Service recovery team at the moment. Seem friendly but wether they can do anything I'm not sure.
Is it possible that a BT engineer gets a load of migrations to do in a day, but then goes home for a cup of tea. Then taps something into his computer that says the migrations have happened.
The BT engineer has to do some tie pair migration at the exchange?

in your situation mate did you notice any change in your line when the migration happened ? i.e. a noticable difference in the line stats which indicated you where now on skys llu equipment , or did this only happen once you asked bt to stop the other connection ?

also what did you say to BT to get them to stop their connection ?

      Re: Tech help please

My line was stillsyncing with bt but as soon as i went cancelled the sky connection synced. I noticed cos with bt i had a 512k con and with sky it wnet to 5.5mb. but it was near enough as soon as bt stopped there service on my line.
I had sky and bt telling me i was connected to both there services which is not possible. so canceled bt and sky near enough instantly took over my line.
