Those orders look good to me - 1. Cease Tiscali and 2. Provide Sky LLU. They should have dates allocated also.

I see what you mean about the Beacon exchange though - no Easynet LLU.

Sorry for the confusion in my post, Jennifer. This order relates to my existing Tiscali connection, and dates back from last November!

I check the BT order website daily to check whether the Sky order has gone through...

Re: Moving from BT to Sky

Hmm.. Ordered on the 12th Jan, User ID/Password arrived in post on the 17th Jan. No word since. They said I should be connected within 15 days. Five days to go.

I phoned Sky this morning and they said all was progressing OK - they were just waiting for a response from BT. I can still see nothing on the BT orders tracking pages - personal or Small Business.

Is there anything I should be doing other than sitting tight and holding my breath :-?

      Thanks,
      Roy

Re: Moving from BT to Sky

Oooo... Checked the BT Order Tracking this evening and hey presto something has appeared! There is an

      Order reference number - xxxx
      Placed date - today 23 Jan 07
      Description - CHANGE
      Appointment - No date yet
      Date due - 5 Feb 07
      Status - In progress
      Last updated - today 23 Jan 07
Notes - Your order is in progress

      Items in this order
CEASE - (ADSL) BT IPSTREAM HOME 2000

I take it that things are moving!!!

Does the Date due mean that's when they are planning to switch from BT to Sky?

      Many thanks,
      Roy

Yes, you should get a letter from Sky telling you the date as well.

I ordered SkyBB last night (23rd) and just now I have a CEASE BT IPSTREAM due for the 7th. Expecting a PROVIDE to join that shortly! (I hope!)

Re: Moving from BT to Sky

I have also just managed to find the BT order system thanks to this site.

I am now more confused as it has two entries as expected, one for cease of BT IP stream on the 8th Feb and the second for a provide of LLU on the 5th of Feb.

Surely this should be the other way around.

I would also like to say thank you to the organisers of this site especially Newsreader for providing the info I have needed to push me onto Sky broadband, just hoping that it goes smoothly.

      Anyway as confused as ever
