      Order delay status?

      Hi all,

This is a re-post due to the problems!!!

I signed up for broadband MAX last Friday; however the guy on the phone took my MAC code down wrong so the order didn't go through. I have given Sky the correct MAC and my order is now saying it is delayed.

What does this mean? One guy at Sky told me the MAC wouldn't be accepted because it is from Orange (but I was not LLUed on Orange), but 2 others have said it will go though I just need to wait for BT to clear the original failed order.

Incidentally I have received my router and password etc - were do I stand I what should I do?

      Thanks
      hullcity

Thats what happened to me, although I never got the router, which means that your order is on its way normally.

Its a case of waiting until someone kicks BT's backside to sort.

      Good luck

      Re: Order delay status?

I wouldn't wait like Newsreader says as that's what Sky tend to be very good at, get on the free phone number, get on the emails bug the hell out of them until you get some sort of information on the status of your order.

after my emailing / phoning I've managed to get put on to emergency status but they said I was placed on they on sunday, so i'm think the emergency status is more of a warning to tech support staff to fob me off asap rather than escalating my problem.

      Re: Order delay status?

Phoned Sky this morning - spoke to some guy who seemed to know what he was talking about. He suggested cancelling the original order because my account had gone into a status of 'POE migration cannot be applied to this DN'

He then suggested to way today while BT system was cleared and then to phone in the morning and order as a re-joining customer. He also said there would be no problem with my MAC code from Orange

Fingers crossed I can re-order in the morning

      @ hullcity

I shall be interested to see if you get anywhere tomorrow...I'm more or less in the same boat as you...as I have been waiting since September originally to get connected..what with cancellations and waiting 90 days for things to clear on my account I too reordered..you can guess the rest...

Problem BT wont take my order.. escalated to sky order management team ...told their ring you back in 48 hours that was 6 days ago been on phone today to be told eventually that problem with mac code...someone will get back to me...not holding my breadth...

      Re: Order delay status?

seems to be a very common thing with sky , they like saying we'll call you back in X amount of time or wait 5 working days for a response etc.

I would send them an email as well.

      Re: Order delay status?

lol yeah same here i've had a go at them again today after they failed to get back to me like they said they would.

Apparently now my situation has been escalated to the highest level above emergency level, so i'm probably at DEFCON 1 now. and apparently it WILL be sorted over this weekend.

      Re: Order delay status?

I believe Sky has farmed it out to China, seems as they are pretty accurate with missiles and satellites

Good luck - hope you both get sorted asap
