Exclamation Tell Sky You Cannot Talk to BT About Your ADSL Line

If Sky inform you there is a "problem with your line" and "that you will have to phone BT yourself to sort it out" politely tell them you are unable to do this. As a domestic customer BT Wholesale, who are responsible for the provisioning of your ADSL connection, will not discuss the order with you. Their contract is with your ADSL provider and as such they are unable to discuss what is happening with your line and they are a non customer facing part of BT. All they will say is that you must get your ISP to contact them.

I only post this as a few days ago I was told by Sky I had to do this but I was already aware that BT would not talk to me, when I informed the CS rep they didn't seem to know that this was the case. I also have seen that others have been advised to do this by Sky's CS.

Hey, brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "It's Good to Talk"

Sounds the same as I was told BT refused to tell me what was wrong. Did sky say you had problems with some equipment on your line?. IF so did you find out what it was.

My order seems to be progressing along now and I'm regularly phoning in to get an update. I suspect that when the Sky CS rep saw on their system that displays limited information "problem" they may have niavely said to call BT. I suspect my "problem" may have been a delay on the provisioning date as I haven't re-ordred from Sky or taken any other action. My advise is to regularly phone in to keep track of your order.

      Time will tell.

      Try the main Broadband number:

      08705 515 515

or I believe this is the number for provisioning:

      08700 248 930

Always quickly answered whenever I call

Just been on to them again. "Slight Delay In Your Order" is all they can tell me. They are going to speak to BT and get back to me. The MAC code will expire on the 11th september and if it's not sorted by then I'm going somewhere else.

SKY's communication is EXTREMELY lacking in this instance and I'm now left wondering when it will be sorted.
