Tie pairs - BT and Sky disagreeing

Ok, I'm sure everyone has had this problem, so hopefully someone will be able to explain it to me in simple words...

Like usual, activation date came and went and after calling for several days I'm told that there are faulty tie pairs on my line, and that may take up to 15 days to sort it out.

I call up BT to see if they can explain the problem to me, and I get told that it's not a tie pair problem, but as I'm moving to LLU network, its been delayed a bit and they will deal with it soon...

      Who's right?
Have I just been fobbed off by some weird guy from BT???

      help!!!!!!

      Welcome to the site Kbramman

Chances are it is Tie pairs which would explain the delay and there are a lot of members who are in the same boat and sorry to say BT have to sort the mess out.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
