The BT order tracking thing doesn't always update until after an order has been completed from what i remember. My order hasn't shown up yet and i don't know when Sky actually placed the order with BT.

It's just that I had to phone twice to cancel My multiroom, The first time the wife did it and she said it would take 30 days to cancel. On hearing that I was worried that the idiot was going to cancel the whole package, so phoned back to comfirm. It turned out he hadn't cancelled anything, so I cancelled my multiroom again and it was switched off within a few hours. I also asked about broadband and the guy gave me the 0870 number and at that point I said I had tried that but was in a que and was 20th. He went off and said he could do it there and then for me. He never once wanted the URN/BAND number and did ask all the right questions including asking for my MAC. I'm just hoping that It's gone through as nothing is showing on the BT page since may when My MAX was put on.

Hi stevvie welcome to the site
Thats all good news as far as taking the order goes but the BT checker could take a while I ordered mine on 21st Aug but the order appeared on the checker until Yesterday and is due for activation on the 7th, so you may have to wait a while for it to show up in the meantime I would give them a call in a couple of days just to make sure.
Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
If you would like to know the straight line distance to your exchange then
Would you like an idea of the possible speeds you will get with the Max Package then click here or for the Connect Package then click here

I would always check even rigning straight back to confirm the details as its the only way to confirm or ringing every couple of days to make sure it is all going through as planned.
With things like this you can't rely on them to check so its worth a few calls to check.

Well i believe my activation date is the 5th of september. However i'll be phoning Sky on tuesday, because i've not recieved the router yet.
Though i'm slighty confused as the person i spoke to yesterday said i'd be getting the router on tuesday. They have until the 17th to get me swapped over as thats when my MAC code runs out. It's been a complete nightmare trying to order Sky broadband (order cancelled twice, first because they thought i could get max when i knew perfectly well that i could'nt, then because the MAC code failed). I'm hoping all the hassle is worth it.
