      Great link.

It shows two orders on my line

      1. A CEASE of my current ADSL BT IP Stream connection due on 11 September 2006.

      2. A PROVIDE of an LLU connection (obviously Sky) due on 6 September 2006.

Sort of makes sense although surprised that the cease says one date and the provide says another earlier date - as it's a migration you'd think they would tie up. What do other Skyusers orders detail when they log onto this site?

Your welcome for the link, l will sign up in a minute. I discovered it about 3-4 months ago, comes in handy when customer support is too much of a pain in the **** to tell you!

Used it this morning for my grandma, shes switching from aol to sky, it shows her activation on the 6th september, but her aol not to be ceased until 10th, so she could use both for 4 days lol different!

ok, l've signed up now, no longer posting as unregistered :-)

Anyway, when i use that for my grandma its exactly the same as you guys.
a cease of btipstream 2000 for september 11th and then a provide llu line share ptsn date due 6th august

Got the router from sky this morning, looks easy enough. Now i can use the internet wireless at my grandmas at last! Better not go over that 1gb limit per month though lol

The cap is 2Gb per month on the free one.
I'm guessing the reason for the overlap is to resolve any problems with the LLU.

From reading the forum and what people have been saying then i would keep checking with sky that everything is going ok, I would call them every couple of days to ensure that everything is ok, then that way problems can be ironed out. I called then on tuesday as my activation date is due tomorrow!

They have said all along everything is going fine, so if it doesn't i have something to go back to them with!

I have checked on the link, i ordered mine on the 21st and there was an order placed on the 23rd to be activated on the 6th then there is a 2nd order on the 24th to be activated on the 1st! So i hope the later one is correct, the only info i can get is that there is a change on the line, which i guess is the change over, lets hope its the latter one and not the 6th!!!

Have called loads to confirm and they all say the 1st so lets hope it is!

Another curious thing regarding the reporting of my BT order via that link is that fact that I ordered from Sky on August 17th, yet the BT system reports that my order was placed on 29 August for the cease of BT IP service and 30 August for the PROVIDE of the LLU service

I'm wondering if it was the migrations placed a couple of weeks ago that Sky struggled with as I received the modem last Friday 25th August, prior to the actual order eventaully being placed with BT.

Oh well, not to worry, if it happens on the 6 Septmber I'm happy

Yeah the link does expire now and again. But you can also get it yourself, if you go to www.bt.com then click 'small & medium business' then click ' track an order '
