    broadband advice

This is a discussion on broadband advice within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; just that? Nothing more, scrolling both up and down? That leaves me a bit stumped then. A bit more googling ...

That leaves me a bit stumped then.

A bit more googling will be required to find out how to get your line attenuation figure from that router.

Anyone else now how to get it?

Hmm, a bit of googling suggests you can get it from the web interface:

You need to have a good look around all the link for a 'Show statistics' button

      Re: broadband advice

yeah that what the orig manual says would happen, but googling suggests otherwise.

I get the impression that if you upgraded the firmware of your router you would then get the whole lot by clicking that link.

New firmware is available from netgear if you wanted to try that route:

      DG834G Family Support Page

make sure you know exactly what version of the router you have.

Someone else may know how to get the line attenuation without trying a firmware upgrade (which is justa guess from me).

      Otherwise try googling:

      +DG834G, +attenuation - Google Search

      I;m off to bed now.

i am so new to this, sorry if this is the wrong info,
Another brave individual choosing the "base" option. I have been a user since 18/10/06, and have enjoyed and been frustrated by the roller coaster ride!
As a new member of SkyUser, I hope I can obtain further experience in improving my connection period/time.
