      Your now activated ... but your not

      well my migration apparently went through yesterday and I recieved a voice mail from some guy at sky saying it's now active and to "enjoy". So whip out the router and put in the sky router and nothing.

      Load up the admin screen and it's synced with the exchange however at exactly the same details as the past few months with Nildram i.e. same connection speed up and down, same snr, same attu and so on.

      I check the connection status and it reads, connection down, CHAP authentication failed.

      So give sky a ring and apparently they are saying that "The Migration according to our records has gone through however it appears that Nildram are still active on the line, sometimes the other ISP fails to remove there service", then I get told Both are active on the line i.e nilldram and sky and that i'm paying for TWO connections at the moment , no love sky's get 0 as it's not working.

      I was then told I need to contact Nildram and ask them to remove there service and the connection will then just jump over to sky's. But from this I'm think ohh yeah ask Nildram to remove the service and then my internets gone altogether.

      anyone know what's happening here as I think she's talking rubish about Nildrams conection still being active and thats causing the problem, as I thought BT have to switch me over to sky's LLU equipment which from the line stats hasn't even happened.

      Could you use the Bt order checker to see what orders have been placed?

      no I've registered in there but I don't know the bt account number to register the line.

      I've checked on prodigy Networks and theres nothing listed on there but i'm not sure how up to date that is.

      The BT account number should be on a BT Phone Bill? I assume you have a BT line as you can only get SkyBroadband with it!

      yep we've got a BT line but the phone calls and line rental are with a company one bill so I don't get the bill for line rental from Bt.

      Oh thats a bummer! Do have access to 150? Maybe you could ask them if there are any orders on your line and then slowly see if you can pinch the account number for future ref?

      tried the 150 and get the message "you cannot call this number on this line" so a guess nope.

      Any other numbers I can try to get the account number / check orders ?
