Mate, do not talk to us about patience.

I wonder how your patience would be after 3-4 months

      Perfectly fine i imagine.
I may not have waited long for my broadband, but i have waited a long time for other things in my life, and i have not had any trouble waiting patiently.

      The fact is? rubbish happens.
Sky cannot deal with every single account perfectly, there are too many incompetent people that exist within the world for that to be anywhere near possible.

'Tie Pairs' is Sky's excuse for anything they can't fix.

The problem with Tie Pairs, is that most of the agents on the phones have next to no idea what they are, so it's difficult to get a decent explanation when their mentioned, especially if you ask 'whats that?' :P

Re: Why do SKY have no idea when my connection will be fixed?

We are starting to develop a better understanding of tie pairs, tie bars, MDFs, DSLAMs et al.

What no one here can begin to understand is why, when we hit the faulty tie pair brick wall, nobody at SKY seems able to rectify the problem. Please don't say it is up to BT to rectify, we already know that, but it up to SKY to get BT to carry out the necessary work, and let us know if and when this will be done. This clearly does not happen!

No need to say sorry, if I wanted to be hissy I could have given you some infraction points, which certain other moderators would have done

As a rule of thumb, if the swear filter picks it up its a no no And if it is then disguised to beat the filter, its frowned upon. We all have an opinion, these are fine as long as no bad language or insults

As for tie pairs, we are doing a tutorial on them, I have just been a little busy to do all the work though. Next few days it will hit the forums.
