      This used to be fine when i was on pipex with my linksys router. Cant understand why it doesnt work with sky and the netgear.
      It is not supported by the netgear router. Your linksys router supported that function.

      Cheers , i tried to reconnect my linksys router earlier, because ive found that to be more reliable, but i couldnt get it to connect to sky.

      A function known as IP Loopback is required by the router and AFAIK the Sky DG834GT doesn't support that.

      Yup, there are some good tutorials on here about getting alternative routers set up - if there is a specific problem I am sure someone here can help.
