Can someone please help me get connected?

      Orginally posted by jaspal007

Have not been able to access approx 90% of websites since joining sky (activation date 20th November 2007). Eg. Sky Broadband - Home or blueyonder > home > home_offnet. Therefore, i cannot access my webmail, online banking, my kids cannot send their home work to their school etc, etc... I have connected two different PCs to the same Sky Netgear router and still experiencing these browsing problems. So it is not my IE and I even have uninstalled firewalls off my PCs. Both my PCs prevoiusly worked fine with cable. Have logged about six different support tickets with sky support but they are unable to help. Can someone please help me get connected?

Have you tried a different router?

I'm not sure why you've waited since November but I would of tried that immediately.

You could also try a different browser (like Firefox) but that's unlikely to be the problem.

No luck with the new router exactly same problem - still can only access about 10% of websites.

Issue has now been escalated to 3rd level support... 3rd line say they'll call me. Let me know if you have anymore suggestions?

What about through a proxy server?

Have you tried another DNS server?

Re: Can someone please help me get connected?

Hi - Finally it is working... according to second line support the problem was with Sky's routers - '...pool was updated... by third level support' (not sure what that means).

But point is the problem was escalated a few times to third level and was not spotted. Sky kept saying it was my internet explorer or firewall setup.

Re: Can someone please help me get connected?

problem resolved. According to 2nd line it was something to do with Sky's routers or routing protocol '... pool was updated...' not sure exactly what this means.

But Sky previously kept saying it was either my internet explorer or firewall setup.
