If the agent you spoke to was referring to "10 Day Test Period" then she is mistaken thats only on CONNECT!

If a cap has been placed, A higher department within Sky Broadband Tech Support aka Tier3, Can ONLY remove this cap!

You can see how it goes until, This Friday, And if its still the same, Ask to speak to someone in Tier3!

Yeah, Because they most likely wont connect you to Tier3 after being connected for like 3days!
Also, if these STATS are dead set, Then deffo by Friday we will no for sure its a cap and not just the line varying!

hmm i found out the problem

the phone extension lead sky gives for the sky box i replaced tht with a small two way connector to get maxium speed but when i use the sky lead my speed goes up to 800kbps but downloads at 80kbps

when i use the two way connector it has 6mb and maxium speed

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 800 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 45.0 db 28.0 db
Noise Margin 9.0 db 14.0 db

is what i have now with the sky fone line extension

      what should i do ?

All the telephony devices connected to your BT sockets, Need to be connected via the MicroFilters supplied!

In the master socket, (Old Style)
Plug in the microfilter and then the RJ11 cable supplied by Sky!
Then hook it up to the router!

You shouldnt be installing extra devices as that will cause more static as not all are reccomended for ADSL!

The more static the more noise and interference on the line, In turn slower speeds!

Some pictures I had taken before I got the new style socket!

      This is my master socket;

Which well.. The microfilter is missing, But thats what should go on next!

Also.. I know this may not really help, But if you have one of those digital phones in the house and not those old analogue ones,
You could remove the ring wire!

So it looks like mine in the picture!
