      Silly Question???

I know that this is a silly question, but I wouldn't ask it if I wasn't unsure of the answer.

I am due to go live on SkyBB tomorrow (Give or take 3 days ), but I am not being disconnected from Pipex until the 3rd Jan. If only one ADSL signal can use the line at any one time, how can there be a cross over of services?

      No flaming please

Gotcha, thanks for that. So if I am still online with Pipex, there is no point in checking out Sky then?

Its quite normal to have both active at the same time.

If you get yours tomorrow I will be gutted! but good luck

I wouldn't have so. I'm pretty sure that you couldn't pump SKY LLU and a BT ADSL product down the same line. It would be good to know why the provide and cease order arent on the same date.

I'm sure I did actually read somewhere that the provide and cease orders that appear on the BT Small Business Landline Tracker aren't actually what you'd expect them to be, but god knows where I read that.

If it was me and I had a provide date of 28th and my old connection was still working tomorrow evening, then I'd still connect the SKY router just out of curiosity!

I'm quite hopeful because everything has looked quite 'normal' up to now, but I am not going to hold my breath.

I've got my fingers crossed that your router arrives soon though, that's why my typing speeds are suffering

I would have done that anyway, lol. But it does seem strange that they could 'possibly' run side by side

Sorry I could have explained my statement better, Its nearly always the old ISP showing as a later date. I suppose it is so it gives BT a few extra days to sort the LLU out.
