      I think thats why there is no switch on it, as it is designed to be on 24 hours a day. I have not switched mine off for about a year.

      If it remains stable you can try lowering the target slightly to increase speed. This is a bit of trial and error, but will give you the optimum for speed and stability on the long run.

      Suppose so @Ged, However I personally dont think they would ADVISE leaving it on 24-7! If they did im suprised the regulator people havent got on to it..

      It was the Same with HairStraightners.. Some GHD ones had an OFF switch and were left off..(plugged in) and caught fire!

      The thing is that hair straighteners are designed to be switched off completely when not in use!

      Routers on the other hand are designed to support a 24-7 connection. they are more likely to over heat by switching them on and off!

      @fibre, the problem with the hair straighteners would have been a design fault more than likely.

      Anything with a design fault has a risk of catching fire.

      Do you leave your TV on (in standby) 24 - 7? I do, never burnt my house down yet and I have had one for about 30 years
