    Green Light ON no connection

      Green Light ON no connection

      Woke up today, no internet, green light on... rebooted pc and laptop and router... green light still on and no internet.

      Anyone got any ideas???

      PS im on another connection for this.

      PPS im not an internet joey so ive tried everything, but still no internet and green light remains on.

      Few Questions;
      1 - Is it / Or Passed your activation date!

      Also, If your activation date hasnt passed then you may not be able to connect yet!

      Our routers internet light was on from the day we got it, However the internet only started working just two days before connection!

      Ive been activated since september, i should have said that before.

      Basically i woke up, no internet, on pc or laptop. Rebooted everything, unplugged router power and lead to phone, switch it all back on and no internet despite green light on router (i) and all other lights ok.

      Sorry if i misread your post @wingnut!
      (SatDish i must be going blind )

      @Wingnut, Could you see what it says in the routers error log? As their could be a CHAP failure message in there?

      See; http://192.168.0.1/log.htm&todo=cfg_init

      Username : admin
      Password : sky
      (unless you have changed them)

      all it says in the log is

      initialise LCP
      LCP is allowed to come up

      Well it seems that the exchange isnt connecting you e.g giving you an IP address

      Yeah...

      So having had grief with sky before and had TWO compensation payments because of them... i will be re opening the case.

      Had this myself for the first time a few days ago.

      Is the Sky test showing error code 300?

      I found that rebooting had no effect so left if for 1/2 an hour and then tried again connection restored and has been ok since.
