connection fine on everything but my psp??

      Hi,
Every connection I have wirelessly in the house works fine
(I have two mobiles that have wireless on them and this PC)

All have static ip's just to double check there are no confliects etc.

      All working fine.

However when I try to setup my PSP with it's wireless settings.. everything goes fine... I get the settings in and then it goes to test the connection.

it goes through it no problem until it gets to the "obtaining IP address" step..

This takes an age... when it does get it.. it comes back looking fine (i.e it's a normal DHCP assigned IP).. however there is no connection at all..
In fact. the instant that it does get it's IP address - this also knocks out the connections on the whole for all other wireless connections to the router..

As soon as I shut off the wireless on the PSP,... normal service on the rest of the connectivity in the house is returned.

Now I know you're all going to be saying there is something up with the PSP.. however I had this setup running fine when I was with wanadoo a couple of months ago before moving to sky..

      Any ideas?

      James

Have you updated the psp's firware from the psp website? I had a similar problem but found it was an update we had done from a games disk we bought a few weeks ago and as soon as we downloaded the latest update ( 20.8 meg i think ) our psp's worked a treat wirelessly.
      The official PSP™(PlayStation®Portable) Website
you`ll find it there under psp downloads, bottom right hand side....version 3.03
