      i have moved the cordless phone from downstairs and put the extension lead on the usb and the download speed has shot up to 12.7meg

      cheers for the help will rewire socket upstairs. thanks again for your help mate

      for some reason when i have my broad
      band on its own its 12 meg wih phone doesnt work at all or 600kbs

      not impressed with sky one bit at the minute the whole change has been nothing but hassle and this is not good unfortunately ! i never had 1 problem with telewest and it downloaded at just under 4 meg constantly

      In regards to your wireless problem i would try puttin a sheet of tinfoil at the back of your roter and pointing in the direction ot ur computer.

      www.freeantennas.com

      check out that for templates for your tin foil ariel. Works quiet well from what ive seen.


      Second thing im not really convinced by usb wireless. Id try a proper PCI card.
