LOL. I've just received a reply to an e-mail I sent Sky on 14 DECEMBER!!!!

Hi, thanks for contacting us about our new broadband service. Please accept
my apologies for the delay in responding to your enquiry.

I regret that we are unable to confirm the date when your connect service
will be transferred to our LLU package. However we are currently working on
this and will send you further information shortly.

Our website should answer any questions you have regarding the broadband
service we provide, however please do not hesitate to contact us again
      should you require further information.

      Kind regards

      Sky Broadband Team
Which basically says - "you shouldn't have even bothered contacting us, 'cos we're not going to tell you anything".

At least they replied, eventually, I suppose!!!

      Re: Connect to Mid Query

lol. i sent a similar email to the same address on the 15th December just got my reply last night, and guess what??? it is to the letter exactly the same as yours they couldn't even be bothered to answer any of the other questions i asked.

Strange thing is that i sent the same email at the same time to James Murdoch and got a reply the next day answering most of the questions and also with money off my bill

Only thing that is worrying now is, if it takes them that long to respond to an email, how long will it be before we all get our connections changed and will it be worth the wait if the exchange capacity is nearly full by then as since i swapped to Sky my connection has really flown, downloads from newsgroups come in at 820Kb

What e-mail address did you use for James Murdoch? I wonder if it's worth me having a go too.

      Re: Connect to Mid Query

I have just sent another harshly worded email to Mr Murdoch to ask to sort this matter out, like nsviper our exchange went active 2 months ago and I'll bet new customers in our area are going on the right package. I'll let you know when I get an answer, no doubt it will be word for word as above.

      Re: Connect to Mid Query

I got the same email this morning, some three weeks after my last email to Sky. This whole thing is frustrating as some of my neighbours who have signed up in the last few weeks have been connected to either Mid or Max.
It comes as no surprise though, Sky are renowned for their pursuit of new customers and their contempt for their existing customer. I had similar issues with my HD install last year where new customers were bumping existing ones out of the pre-registering queue.

Only one way to get it sorted and thats to vote with your feet,as I will be doing once my 12 month HD sub is up, they can whistle for the 12 months on the Broadband as they promised switch over to the LLU as soon as it was possible when I signed up.

      Re: Connect to Mid Query

I've just sent a reply (NOT awaiting a response with bated breath!) - asking for my monthly bill to be reduced in line with the Mid package that I should now be on, and a refund of any payments I have made of the higher amount since the exchange was unbundled. Not that I'm expecting a favourable reply!

      Re: Connect to Mid Query

Assumin we eventually get overto Mid/Max how does the data throughput work as opposed to BT. Are will still stcuk at set limits like BT do for Connect services, ie a sync of between 2272 and 2xxx will result in a 2000kbps IP Profile or will the profile match you sync speed, and will the three day rule vanish as well?
