What do i need to get it fixed?

ive had my broadband for about 10 days now, and had various problems.

      Bad Impression of connect.

These problems seemed to go away for a few days but i think it was a fluke im getting the same random disconnects i had at the very begining.

About an hour ago i decided to go behind the master socket and check the test socket hooked right up to the router, tada my connection speed almost double from around 4000 to 7700, although my noise margin still seems to be under 6 though i have seen it up and around 10.

      If i get

      http://www.adslnation.co.uk/products/xte2005.php

will this give me the same high connection speed as the test socket?
And more importantly could this sort all my problems.

This is my current statistics just using the master socket(not the engineers test socket)

Connection Speed 4288 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 44.0 db 24.5 db
Noise Margin 5.6 db 22.0 db

And this is in the test socket

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7712 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 43.0 db 24.5 db
Noise Margin 5.6 db 22.0 db

I get exacly same thing here,

Get 4Mb through normal socket and get 8.0Mb through the Test socket ??

Did you buy one of them and did it do what you hoped Grant?

      Cheers

      Should do.

      It will certainly reduce them.

This might help with background reading about noise margin.

faceplate may help, i hav'nt got one as i have the same speed with master and test, chopping redundant wires from the master and extension gave me my biggest speed jump,
