mid users - what happens if you go over the 40gb limit?

i called sky tech help today and ask them this, out of curiosity. the guy didn't know anything, he kept putting me on hold after every question.

eventually he told me that i would get an email once i go over the 40gb limit, warning me that i have surpassed my download allowance. i said ok, so other than the warning, what else happens? lower speeds? an extra charge? he said nope, just a warning. i said so i could in theory download 100gb every month and all i get is a warning? he said well you will get another warning telling you to stop.

anyone know for sure what happens?

you will get an email advising that you, that you went over the limit.
then if this is repeated we would then take it from there.

but trust me you dont have any thing to worry about just now
