      Problems logging into sites

Hello, I'm new here and have been on SkyBB Max for 3 days and have found this site a godsend for understanding a bit more about my router - so thanks you guys for putting together such a great site and to all people posting useful information without making novices feel like idiots!!

I have found, however, that I have been unable to log into hotmail, yahoo mail, ebay and amazon. Is this likely to be a problem with Sky BB? Or more likely to be a problem with upgrading to IE7 (since I did both on the same day - silly, I know....)

Any help would be very much appreciated - Thanks in advance

      (and nice meeting you all!)

Just tried all 4 of those sites with no problems via Sky mid package, I'm not on IE7 yet though, hope this helps.

Thanks so much for replying so quickly!

So it looks as though I'll have to roll back to IE6 somehow (if it'll let me).

      Thanks again for your help.

      Welcome to the site wintersyve

I don't think you will find anyone on here that would treat a novice as an idiot since everyone was one once upon a time

As for your site problems I have been able to access them all as well but I was using IE7 so it could be another problem you are having. Try Firefox and see if that gives you the same problem.

      Hi guys,

Thanks for checking - I've dloaded Firefox and can't get onto the site through that either. Says my password or login is wrong on all sites when I know I'm right!

Just checked logging in using my ipaq (connected via my router) and I can log in on that?! I'm puzzled.....

      Thoughts very welcome indeed

I think you have the dreaded can't access sites problem.

You can try sending a PM to thefatcat and see if he can help you.

I've been getting a similar problem with argos, ebay and most importantly hotmail. Popped on here, thought twice about Mcafee .... whipped it off and everything now logs in perfectly ..... portal included

Yes Mcafee tends to cause a lot more problems for people than the worth of it.
