Migrated to Sky but now box yet

I recently migrated to Sky broadband from BT and boy am I regretting it.

My activation date was 6th Dec, on the 5th of December still had not received Sky Broadband box. Phoned and found out that one was sent out 28th Nov but lost somewhere between Sky and Parceline.

Line has now migrated so I can no longer use BT Broadband.

Sky are sending another box but say this can take 5 working days.

In the meantime is there any way I can continue using broadband????

      In a word no.
Your sky box has ur user name and password in it. Its generated off ur mac code for the router (i think).
Sorry bout this but soon as you get your router you should be able to connect straight away.

Thanks, having had internet access for so long it's hard to cope without it.

Okay for me as I can access from work, but my other half's stuck at home all day and would normally spend most of the day online.

This is a real problem with Sky, you'd think there would be someway to get a Sky Broadband box to a Customer with no service in less than 5 days.

      Yer i agree.
      Thank god for work BB.

I think the delivery thing is due to what ever contract they have with parcel force or line or who ever they have a contract with. Must work out cheaper.

Just hope your line works straight away. Mine still isnt and i was activeated on the 28th of nov.

      Welcome to the site nobody

I have to agree with what you are saying about getting a replacement out faster and so would a lot of other members.

One day they will get the message or I would like to think they would until then all we can do is hope and prey that the replacement routers show up when they should.

Good luck when it does show up.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
