      I have an absolute corker.

      I was due to be connected to sky on the 28th of Nov.
      Its now the 4 of Dec and still no net.
      The story so far.

      Rang Sky on the 29th of feb told them that i was still connecting with my old isp and had not been changed over.
      They said that all there systems were showing i had been swapped over and that it might be my modem. Used the tech forum and found out my user name and password tried in a diffrent modem and still no joy. I rang them back and had another conversation with a slightly more knowledgable person. They went thru the trouble shooting things with me and still no joy. they said leave it for another 24hours and see if your line sinks. Rang them the next day still no net. Internet light is green on box but wont connect. CHAP authentication failed. After requesting sky ring me back i had a phone call about 30 mins later. The guy on the phone was very very help full.
      He told me that it seemed like the migration had gone thru but bt had not vacated the line. So i rang BT the canceled my broadband and now i can connect to skys service.
      BUT still saying CHAP Authentication failed. So still no net. Rang Sky and said the test goes thru ok most of the time but errors (error code 200) most of the time. They said leave your box on for 24 hours and see if it will let you connect. Checked it today still no net. it gets connection stats but wont authenticate. tried it with a diffrent router but still no joy.

      Any one any ideas.
      So far spent a fortune on phone calls and still no net.

      PM me, I have a number that you will find very very useful.

      if you are planning for a decade, plant trees;
      if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people."

      You could try and ask them but I would doubt they would give you that as they may asume you would use another brand of router.
