Unhappy No access to work server/VPN

      Hi

New poster to this site although I have been a reader for quite a while.

I've had Sky broadband for a couple of months now and things have gone fairly well (fingers crossed). However, I usually work from home 2 or 3 days a month and since I have had Sky Broadband I have not been able to use the VPN to access my work server or get onto my work server internet page (https:\\home.eu.mercer.com).

Things worked fine with Tiscali previously so it seems to be a problem with Sky.

Anyone got any tips for how I can get it working? I am not a computer expert so go easy on me!!! (although I have tried to play around with some of the port settings on the router page but to no avail).

      Thanks

      Hi

When you played around did you add the rule for the VPN access in the router?

All I did (I think) was open port 3389 within the security services (and called this remote) and then changed the firewall rules to allow always the remote service name.

Did not seem to change anything though.

      Try adding:

      VPN-IPSEC(UDP:500)
      VPN-L2TP(UDP:1701)
      VPN-PPTP(UDP:1723)

      ALLOW always

Send to LAN Server: Your PC'S IP address

You will need to add each one individually and afaik they should already be there ready to add.
