      Progress update

Well, did the deed on Monday and signed up.

Hadn't received any post informing of what happens next prior to this morning, and from the lack of any info from OH, sounds like no post today either.

However, sounds like my router has arrived just now.

So....have no idea as to what's going to happen next, or more importantly, when.

      Red face

ah....a somewhat sheepish update. Just got a text saying my letter from Sky came today as well.

      So....getting rather excited now!

      Question Router Query.

My Router's here (very nice it looks too actually) but like a lot of people SKY rang today to say the connection now won't take place on 31st as first thought. OH took the call and said how nice they were and apologetic etc etc so fair play on that front.

What I wonder is, should there be any problem with me putting the new router in place and using it with my current ISP in the meantime?

Basically wondering if there's likely to be any compatability issues seeing as I'm not yet on an LLU service and want to try the (LLU)router out now.

      Any thoughts?

I doubt it would be a problem and should work fine even though it does tell you not to connect it until your activation date, I intend to leave the one I have connected and setup for my wireless network where it is until the last possible minute.

Nah it didn't want to know! switched back to previous router and it worked as normal.

Well as normal as syncing at 4608/448 kbps but downloading at (recently tested) 1918kbps can be expected I guess.
