I am on the Whitefield telephone exchange and have just signed up for the Sky Broadband Mid Package.
I am still with NTL Broadband at the moment on 10 meg download and this is costing £14.99 per month.
I received a letter from Sky stating it can take 10-15 working days to be activated but I checked with BT and they state they can deliver by 1st Dec 2006.
Does anybody have any advice on how to set up the Sky Broadband when equipment arrives?
How do I activate my Sky Broadband email address?
Is the router easy to set up?
How reliable is the Sky Broadband?

Sky Broadband is very simple to set-up and if your unsure then they supply a guide which will walk you through all the steps fro getting online.
You will only be able to login to Sky's portal and use your email address once your line has been activated.
You should receive a letter which will give you a date for when you are going to go live on the service also.
As for reliability of Sky's Broadband service, I personally have had no problems since the 8th of September but if you look about the forums you will see that there are those that have. The only real way to tell is to wait and see what it's like once it's activated.
Hope this has answered some of your questions.

Welcome to the site levineg
As mikey has said its very easy its more or less plug-in and play as long as you have a Lan in your PC plug-in the Ethernet cable to both router and PC and if you have a live connection of you go.
Good luck and hope it all goes well for you.
This was a post about having signed up and not should I sign up so please stop hijacking threads.
Not everyone has had or gets a bad service from SkyBB there are a lot of happy members on here even some of the ones that had real problems and have had them sorted are not happy.Ray
Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
